Pathways Hospice receives $90,000 grant from Daniels Fund

Fort Collins – Pathways Hospice received a $90,000 grant from Daniels Fund for its operating support and capital needs.

“$40,000 will go toward general operating support, ensuring that everyone in need of Pathways’ services receives comprehensive and quality care, regardless of eligible insurance. The other $50,000 will go toward upgrading the heating and air system at Pathways’ facilities in northern Colorado,” said Evan Hyatt, CEO of Pathways Hospice.

Pathways Hospice, established in 1978, is a nonprofit agency offering hospice care for individuals navigating the last months of life. With 120 employees, the company serves Larimer County and part of Weld County, mostly west of highway 85.

The Daniels Fund, founded by Bill Daniels who was a decorated fighter pilot in World War II and later a pioneer in the cable television industry, is designed to provide grants to nonprofits and scholarships to students in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.

Since 2009, the Daniels Fund has granted Pathways a total of $300,000.

“Due to the ongoing support of the Daniels Fund, specifically for capital needs, money donated to the organization throughout the year can be put directly toward the care and comfort of our patients,” said Pathways Hospice CEO Evan Hyatt in a statement.
