Longmont’s sales-, use-tax revenue up 11%

Sales-tax collections increased by 13.7 percent over the same time period a year ago. Use-tax collections decreased by 1.4 percent.

Year to date, sales-tax revenue is up 6.3 percent, and use tax is up 2.9 percent.
Lodgers’ tax collections for the period were up 45.1 percent, or $35,903 for the month, compared with $24,7433 for the same month a year ago. Year to date, the lodgers’ tax is up 21.2 percent, or $303,014 compared with $250,074 at this time last year.
