Larimer County Attorney Hass resigns
County spokeswoman Deni Larue said Hass, who turns 70 on May 2, has been planning the move for several months. Hass was not available for comment.
Larimer County Commissioners, who appoint their attorney, have selected Deputy County Attorney Jeannine Haag as his replacement. She is to assume her new post May 1.
Hass has been active in numerous nonprofits, volunteering for such organizations as Caravan, Hospice, Our Savior Lutheran Church Council, Rotary and Boy Scouts. He was honored by the Larimer County Bar Association in 2009 with its “Professionalism Award,” given to an attorney who exemplies the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
