Fundraiser for homeless a real sleeper

Hats off to about 40 brave souls who wanted to walk a mile — or, in this case, sleep a night — in the shoes of homeless teenagers.

On Thursday, Nov. 15, business and community leaders participated in Attention Homes’ inaugural Sleep Out for Homeless Youth event. The Sleep Out was geared toward raising awareness of homeless youth in our community and was part of Homeless and Runaway Youth Awareness Month.

Through the Sleep Out participants and their supporters, Attention Homes received more than 600 donations and raised almost $50,000 to support its Runaway & Homeless Youth program.
