F+W Media acquires Loveland’s Aspire Media
The acquisition makes F+W Media’s consumer database among the largest in the art and craft industry, the company said in a statement. F+W Media, which operates in Fort Collins and other cities nationwide, owns nearly two dozen e-commerce stores. Interweave, of Loveland, owns 15 consumer art and craft magazines, more than 30 special newsstand publications and 10 e-commerce stores. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Clay Hall, Aspire Media and Interweave CEO for the past seven years, and CFO Troy Wells will leave the company as part of the acquisition. SPONSORED CONTENT F+W Media plans to increase the number of digital magazine and content launches through Interweave’s digital newsstand. It also will expand its e-commerce, ebook, education and event businesses. “Interweave properties are leaders in their communities: There is a history of innovation, entrepreneurialism, and proven success,” F+W Media CEO David Nussbaum said in the statement. “We welcome the many talented and passionate employees to F+W to learn from one another and to be part of our larger, global community.” F+W Media acquired The Martha Pullen Co., an e-commerce, event and content company, earlier this year.
