Polar Bottle wins a place at bike race
The USA Pro Cycling Challenge has chosen Boulder-based Polar Bottle to provide the official water bottle for the multistage race through 2013. Polar Bottle has created a variety of custom bottles for this year’s race, which takes place Aug 20-26. The designs are inspired by each of the five leaders’ jerseys — General Classification (overall leader), Best Young Rider, Best Sprinter, King of the Mountains, Most Aggressive Rider — and a commemorative 2012 Stage Route bottle, all manufactured in Colorado. Polar Bottle president Judy Amabile is thrilled about her company’s association with the race for the next two years. “It’s great to have world-class stage racing back in Colorado,” she said. “Last year’s race proved that our state is the perfect venue.”
