Fresh Produce buying retailer in Florida

BOULDER – Apparel manufacturer and retailer Fresh Produce Holdings LLC in Boulder has acquired Brogan Partners, a Florida-based specialty retailer.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close at the end of January, Boulder-based Fresh Produce said in a statement.

Brogan operates five clothing stores in Florida. Scott Brogan, president of Brogan Partners, will join Fresh Produce’s board of managers. Brogan’s store operations team, merchandising and buying personnel will be integrated into Fresh Produce’s operations, the company said.

“Scott and his organization have been an intimate part of developing the Fresh Produce lifestyle brand since the beginning of our partnership,´ said Mary Ellen Vernon, co-founder at Fresh Produce.

The Fresh Produce brand of apparel is known for its vibrant colors. The clothing is available at 25 company-owned retail boutiques, online at www.freshproduceclothes.com and at more than 500 independent retailers. The company manufactures more than 80 percent of its clothes in the United States.
