Boulder earns kudos for annual report

BOULDER – The city of Boulder has received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for its annual financial report.

The report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate the city’s financial story and motivate potential user groups to read the report.

The awarding association is a nonprofit serving approximately 17,500 government finance professionals with offices in Chicago and Washington, D.C. More than 150,000 states, cities, towns, school districts, counties, colleges, universities and special districts in the U.S. and Canada are eligible to submit for the award. Approximately 4,100 entities receive the certificate each year.
