Larimer County H1N1 clinic last until new year

LOVELAND – The Larimer County Department of Health will hold its sixth H1N1 vaccination clinic Nov. 30.

In the three weeks since it started the clinics, in partnership with the Health District of Northern Larimer County, the Health Department has distributed 33,000 vaccines. Of those, 10,000 were administered at a mass vaccination clinic. The department will schedule more clinics, if necessary, in January, depending on vaccine availability and public need.

“More vaccine is already available through physician offices and some nursing services, and pharmacies are expected to receive the vaccine in December,´ said Adrienne LeBailly, director of the Health Department. “If people can readily get the vaccine through private providers, the need for the mass clinics could be less.”
