Sustainable Living Fair dates announced

FORT COLLINS – The Sustainable Living Fair will once again be held in
Legacy Park at 300 Woodlawn Drive in Fort Collins, according to
organizers the Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Association. The event
will be held Sept. 17 and 18 and admission will be $8 per day.

The 12th annual Sustainable Living Fair will offer a wide range of
events for participants, including 75 workshops. The fair attracts more
than 11,000 attendees from across Larimer County and provides
solution-based, interactive, family-oriented events designed to educate
people about sustainable living practices, renewable energy, green
building, and more.

The fair will feature keynote speakers, also announced May 31. Speakers will be:

  • Alec Loorz, a 16-year-old climate change activist who founded Kids vs.
    Global Warming, a nonprofit aimed at getting youth active in the green
    revolution, four years ago, speaking at noon on Sept. 17.

  • Lori Ryker, architect and author of “Off the Grid,” speaking at noon on Sept. 18.

  • Shannon Hayes, author of “The Grassfed Gourmet” and third-generation farmer, speaking at 2 p.m. on Sept. 18.

The fair will also include demonstrations and 250 exhibitors. For more
