Eagles start playoff race in first place; McIntosh promoted at FSN Rocky Mountain
The Colorado Eagles beat the Laredo Bucks 5-0 to wrap up their regular season effort on Wednesday, March 16. The win moved the Eagles into sole possession of first place in the Colorado Hockey League’s Turner Conference, and came on the night of their 300th consecutive home sellout.
RW Kevin Ulanski, who scored two goals and finished the night with 5 points, led the Eagles offensively while Goalie Kyle Jones, from North Delta, British Columbia, finished the evening with his third shutout of the season, saving all 25 of the shots that Laredo put on net. The win, Jones’ 26th of the season, also tied him with league leader Danny Battochio of the Rapid City Rush.
Colorado wraps up the 2010-11 regular season with four road games, two in Arizona this weekend and another pair against Fort Wayne on March 25 & 26. The 2011 Ray Miron Presidents’ Cup playoffs will begin during the final week of March; tickets to Eagles home playoff games went on sale Friday, March 18 at 10 a.m.
