Numerica wins $3 million missile-sensor contract

LOVELAND – Numerica Corp., a Loveland-based research firm specializing
in defense technology, won a two-year, $3 million contract from the
Missile Defense Agency to develop sensors to enhance the nation’s
defense against ballistic missile attack.

The $3 million contract is the largest Small Business Innovation
Research Phase II project ever awarded to Numerica, according to
President Jeff Poore.

The MDA protects U.S. territories, as well as those of the nation’s
allies, against ballistic missile attack, whether accidental,
unauthorized or deliberate. The Airborne Infrared (ABIR) multi-sensor
