Vail Resorts offers ‘epic’ ski pass
BROOMFIELD – Vail Resorts Inc. (NYSE:MTN) based in Broomfield is offering its Epic Season Pass, an unlimited, unrestricted season pass valid at five resorts for the 2008-2009 ski and snowboard season.
The pass, with an initial cost of $579 for adults and $279 for children ages 5 through 12, will be good at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado and Heavenly in California.
“Vail Resorts’ Epic Season Pass is a groundbreaking initiative that will completely change how our guests experience their ski and snowboard vacations,´ said Rob Katz, chief executive officer of Vail Resorts.

According to Katz, Vail Resorts modeled the Epic Season Pass on the Colorado and Summit pass programs offered onsite in the Colorado market and the Heavenly Pass program offered onsite in the Tahoe and San Francisco markets.
Purchasers of the Epic Season Pass will receive exclusive offers and promotions for lodging, dining, ski rental and ski school.
