County hires sustainable coordinator

BOULDER – Boulder County has hired Ann Livingston as its sustainability coordinator.

Livingston will begin work Monday, April 2, and she will be responsible for implementing numerous, widespread measures to ensure environmental sustainability countywide. The measures include policy, facilities, equipment, infrastructure, education and outreach efforts that aim to conserve natural resources and to reduce energy consumption, waste and pollution.

Also, the city of Boulder Climate Action Plan tax will be collected beginning Sunday, April 1, through Xcel Energy’s monthly billing process. The tax will be levied based on electricity use per  kilowatt-hour for residents and businesses. The average household will pay…
