Region should unify separate energy projects

The drive toward making Northern Colorado a center for research and development of clean and renewable energy resources has too much promise for it to be fractured into pieces.

Yet that is what appears to be happening, with competing efforts – one in Larimer County, the other in Weld – to develop new economic sectors focused on alternative energy.

Upstate Colorado Economic Development, Weld County’s public-private economic development agency, on Aug. 23 convened the first meeting of the Renewable Energy Feasibility Study Group.
