Sterling-Rice Group, a Boulder-based marketing firm, hired Senior Marketing Analyst Michael Adamson, Senior Account Manager Erin Fitzgibbons, Marketing Analyst Erin Murphy, and Production Artist Chris Woodruff. Sterling-Rice also promoted Lobelia Buckner and Carrie Hinkle to assistant account manager positions.

Anna Panoka was named producer for the news program “Colorado Matters” on Colorado Public Radio, a radio station based in Denver.

CTA Public Relations of Louisville hired Paige Littman as executive assistant to Shirley Thompson, the company’s president and co-founder.
CTA also hired Dean James Smith as senior designer and creative coordinator in the agency’s Creative Development Department.

ARCHITECTURE, CONSTRUCTION
Carol Henry, ASLA, became managing principal of Lafayette-based Design Concepts, a community and landscape architecture firm. Additionally, Scott Hodson, ASLA, became landscape architect and planner; Trish Taylor, ASLA, became landscape architect; and Mark Ballock became landscape architect.

Tarah Harpstreith was appointed manager of business development on the business acquisition team for the Rocky Mountain office of The Weitz Co., a general contractor.

BANKING, FINANCE
Lisa Glover was named director of community development and fair lending for Minneapolis-based U.S. Bancorp, a bank with Colorado branches. She will work from Milwaukee.
At the Boulder branch of U.S. Bank, Tyson Bullard was promoted to business banking officer and assistant vice president. He will cover Boulder, Broomfield, Larimer and Weld counties.

Doug Ferraro, president of Bellco Credit Union in Denver, joined SunCorp Corporate Credit Union in Broomfield’s board of directors.

Gary Gomulinski was named vice president of commercial banking at the Pearl Street branch of Vectra Bank Colorado in Boulder.

EDUCATION
Teddi Davis, director of product development and consumer product marketing for Xcel Energy, was elected chairwoman of the Front Range Community College Foundation board of directors.

John Behrendt, a senior research associate at the University of Colorado at Boulder and a fellow emeritus of the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research, was elected president of the American Polar Society.

ENGINEERING
Jerry V. Dollar, president and chief executive officer of Lightning Eliminators & Consultants Inc., a lightning engineering company in Boulder, was named to the company’s board of directors.

GOVERNMENT
Timothy Killeen, director of the National Center for Atmospheric Research, began a two-year term as president of the American Geophysical Union, a worldwide scientific research community.

HEALTH CARE
Golden West Senior Residence in Boulder named Kathy Dyer assisted living manager. She is certified as an Assisted Living Home Operator, Activity Director and Eden Alternative Associate.

Josie Manternach was appointed to the board of trustees for the Mental Health Foundation, a fundraiser for the Mental Health Center Serving Boulder and Broomfield Counties.

Jeffrey Nathanson was appointed executive director of business development at National Jewish Medical and Research Center in Denver.

HIGH TECH
EnVysion Inc., a Boulder-based broadband video surveillance company, hired Brian Noel as senior vice president of sales.

Boulder-based Rally Software Development Corp. hired Mike Metcalf as vice president of marketing.

HEI Inc., a Victoria, Minn.-based medical device manufacturer with Boulder operations, hired Kevin Voelz as Western regional sales manager of the microelectronics division. He will work from Minnesota.

Aegis Analytical Corp., a Lafayette-based software provider for the life sciences industry, appointed David Selby to its advisory board.

Dr. Miller Schuck was hired as senior staff scientist for ColorLink Inc., a Boulder-based photonics company.

Robert Urwiler was named senior vice president and chief information officer of Vail Resorts Inc.

Bill Light was named director of sales for the national sales office of Associated Luxury Hotels in Denver.

Davina C. Maes joined Holland & Hart LLP as an associate in the Denver office, working in the business department.

NONPROFIT
Gail S. Schoettler, former lieutenant governor and state treasurer of Colorado, and the Rev. R.J. Ross, founder and president of the Samaritan Institute, were elected to the board of trustees of The Colorado Trust, a foundation dedicated to health care.

The Boulder Better Business Bureau, a nonprofit dedicated to business ethics, hired Janie Brown as executive director.

Lucinda Greene was appointed to the board of directors for the Rocky Mountain Unit of Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic.

Col. Lonnie J. Westphal, Ret., former chief of the Colorado State Patrol, was named executive director of the CSP Family Foundation in Lakewood.

All Together Now International, a Boulder-based international health care organization, appointed Jarrett Zuboy as a volunteer grant writer. Gwendoline Van Doosselaere was appointed program director.

Jeffrey Lasher was named acting chief financial officer of Broomfield-based Corporate Express Inc., an office products supplier and a company of Buhrmann NV, an international business services group, replacing.John Brenholt who left his position as senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Mike Loughrin, a partner with consulting firm Transformance Advisors in Boulder, was appointed director of Lean Six Sigma Programs by the International Supply Chain Education Alliance.
