Boulder International Film Festival gains sponsors for 2006

BOULDER – The Boulder International Film Festival, produced by the Colorado Film Society, has gained a number of local and national sponsors that have pledged support for BIFF 2006, scheduled Feb. 16-19.

Platinum level sponsors, which contribute $50,000 in cash or in-kind value include radio station KBCO, Daily Camera and Comcast.

The St. Julien Hotel is a gold level sponsor, contributing $25,000 in cash or in-kind value.
Silver level sponsors, which contribute $10,000 in cash or in-kind value include Wild Oats Markets, Sundance Channel and Matrix.

Bronze level sponsors, which contribute $5,000 in cash or in-kind value include
Alpine Audio Visual, Kernt Design, Warren Miller Entertainment, Boulder Outdoor Cinema and Boulder TV.

Kodak is supporting BIFF 2006 by donating the following prizes: $1,000 worth of film stock for the recipient of the Best Short Film award, $1,000 worth of film stock for the recipient of the Best Feature Film award and $500 worth of film stock for the recipient of the Best Student Film award

The Colorado Film Society received a $10,000 grant from The Denver Foundation, a community foundation dedicated to improving life in Metro Denver through philanthropy, leadership, and strengthening the community.

The society also received grants from the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District and the Boulder Arts Commission, an agency of the Boulder city council.
