Italian restaurant moving in to I-25 corridor

WINDSOR — Primovolo Pizza Co. plans to open a new restaurant at Windsor’s Westgate Center just off Interstate 25.

Cliff Abrahams, Kurt Tonkin and Mike Bren have partnered to form Local Lads LLC, a holding company for the restaurant, and expect to be serving customers April 1.

Abrahams has 17 years experience in the restaurant business, most recently as executive chef for Linden’s in Fort Collins, where he worked with Tonkin; Tonkin was the kitchen manager. A former Hewlett-Packard Co. employee, Bren will serve as chief financial officer.

Abrahams described the restaurant as “fast casual,” serving gourmet pizza, sandwiches, salads and appetizers with an Italian flair.

“We won’t have any fryers, so it will be a greaseless menu,” he said. The partners expect to serve beer and wine as well.

The plan is to seat 40 inside and another 24 on a patio at the 1,700-square-foot space at 4630 Royal Vista Circle.

Abrahams said the group had considered a space in Fort Collins, but decided the restaurant market there is saturated. “This location will really give us the opportunity to shine,” he said.
