Aggie Theater on the block

FORT COLLINS — The Aggie Theater is for sale — again.

The theater at 204 S. College Ave. is being marketed for $200,000 by owner Cooper Stetson. The site opened as a venue for live music in January 1998.

The Aggie has brought a number of prominent acts to Fort Collins, such as Los Lobos and Ice T.

The purchase price would acquire only the business, not the building. The Aggie Theater has 17 years remaining on a lease for the property.

A future owner of the business, however, could elect to end the live-music business and use the space for some other purpose. Meanwhile, several acts continue to be booked for the fall, including Rebirth Brass Ban, Runaway Truck Ramp, Joan Osborne and 311.
