TVs top complaints to local Better Business Bureau

DENVER — The results are in. The Denver/Boulder Better Business Bureau has announced the leading complaint and inquiry categories for 1998. Toping the list for complaints this year was televisions.

With the Denver/Boulder area a central information point for television technology in the country, all consumer complaints with television programming or products are referred to the BBB. A complaint with cable programming in Maine, for instance, would be filed with the BBB here.

Many complaints stem from the problems associated with new technology, in this case the growing use of satellite television, and from a lack of communication between buyer and seller.
