Northbound Mason to be open by Friday night

FORT COLLINS – Northbound Mason Street in downtown Fort Collins is scheduled to reopen by the end of the business day Friday, with plans for the southbound lane to reopen Sept. 10.

The conversion of Mason Street to two-way traffic is a part of the overall plan to bring MAX bus rapid transit service to Fort Collins in early 2014. New curbs and gutters have also been installed around the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks.

Magnolia Street will remain closed through the first week of September for storm sewer work. The continued work on the project will also include some lane reductions at intersections with Mason Street.

The impacted cross-streets are Olive Street, Laurel Street, Maple Street and Troutman Parkway.

Land reductions, intermittent block closures and shoulder work will continue over the next 15 months as progress is made on the Mason Corridor. To read more about the project, click here.
