McKee restructuring results in ‘handful’ of job eliminations

LOVELAND — Restructuring at McKee Medical Center in Loveland has resulted in a “handful” of job eliminations, the company said Thursday.

Both clinical and non-clinical departments were involved in the restructuring, though no figures were being released, according to Paul Matthews, public relations director at McKee.

McKee is owned by Banner Health, an Arizona-based health care company that also owns North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.

The affected employees were informed of the news Wednesday.

All impacted employees were offered assistance through Banner’s career-transition program. The program offers a variety of services, Matthews said, including helping employees find other jobs, either within Banner Health or outside of the company.

Matthews predicted that most of the affected personnel would find other jobs within Banner Health.

McKee employs more than 800 people, Matthews said. No other Banner hospitals were impacted by the reorganization.
