Betsey Martens, Boulder Housing Partners’ executive director, was honored by the Boulder City Council for more than two decades of “consistent excellence, high performance and singular leadership.” A July 17 proclamation signed by Boulder’s mayor Matt Applebaum recognized Martens “for her extraordinary commitment to affordable housing and improving the lives of so many in Boulder and Boulder County.” Among BHP’s most recent achievements is Red Oak Park, a $13 million infill development on the site of a deteriorating trailer park in North Boulder.

KGA Studio Architects PC, previously Knudson Gloss Architects, received a Gold Nugget Award from the Pacific Coast Builders Conference. The award, in the category of Best Detached Home 2,500 to 3,000 square feet, recognized a Pure 3 model being built by Infinity Homes at Stapleton. The Gold Nugget program draws entries from 14 western states and recognizes excellence and innovation in residential design.

Denver-based Royal Crest Dairy, which serves customers in cities throughout the Boulder Valley, was honored by the Department of Labor and Employment for having an exemplary safety record. Supervisors conduct nightly inspections with an emphasis on safety, and the company recently purchased new trucks to reduce high stepup/down injuries.
