Estes Park’s 2016 sales-tax collection sets record

ESTES PARK – The Town of Estes Park set a record for sales tax collections in 2016, collecting $10,455,182 in its general fund, an increase of 7.4 percent from the 2015 record-setting year of $9,733,669.

The Estes Park Trail-Gazette reports that it was the first time the town has topped the $10 million mark in sales tax collections for the general fund. It was also the first time the town eclipsed $13 million in total sales tax collections, the general fund plus the issue of IA funds.
