Longmont Chamber Safety Program Through Pinnacol Assurance Saves Members Money

The workers’ compensation safety group is designed by the Longmont Chamber to help businesses operate effectively, grow sustainably, and take care of their employees.

The Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce safety program, a partnership with Pinnacol Assurance and three Chamber member brokers – TrueNorth Insurance and Financial Strategies, Peak Insurance Agency and Ewing-Leavitt Insurance has been saving its members money for over 25 years.

The Chamber’s safety program dates back to 1996. Policyholders who qualify for the program have access to safety training, materials and individualized service from a Pinnacol customer-focused service team in an effort to improve workplace safety.

Program benefits Include:

  • 4% discount on workers’ compensation premium
  • Eligibility for a safety group program dividend
  • Improved risk management and loss control
  • Free Safety group program training and materials
  • Risk management training — available online and in locations across the state
  • Individualized service from a customer-focused Pinnacol service team

Scott Cook, CEO of the Longmont Chamber, said, “The Chamber is pleased to have a long-standing relationship with Pinnacol Assurance. Through our safety group program, business owners save money and employees enjoy safer working environments.”

Not only are businesses creating a culture of safety, but the group can earn dividends in years the group qualifies. Dividends totaling $409,453 were distributed in 2020 to policyholders who contributed to the group’s overall success. Cook added, “Dividends are an added bonus, especially now during the COVID-19 crisis.”

The Chamber is pleased to partner with three member brokers for the program: TrueNorth Insurance and Financial Strategies (303-776-5122), Peak Insurance Agency (303-828-1020) and Ewing-Leavitt Insurance (970-679-7333).
