Today final day to register for health-care ‘power breakfast’
LOVELAND — Today is the final day to register for the BizWest-sponsored “power breakfast” on the health-care industry that will be held Thursday at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland.
An innovative program that could help companies take control of their corporate health-care costs while improving the quality of care their employees receive will be the topic of the event.
The event will be held in the Longs Peak conference room at Medical Center of the Rockies, 2500 Rocky Mountain Ave. Check-in will begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by the conversation from 7:45 to 9:15 a.m. A continental breakfast will be available. Cost for the event is $19.49, with proceeds to benefit the PVH and MCR Foundation. Reservations can be made online through 11:55 p.m. tonight.

Panels of experts discussing the “direct to business” model will feature Kevin Unger, president and chief executive of University of Colorado Health’s Poudre Valley Hospital and Medical Center of the Rockies, and Dr. Floyd Stephens, medical director of Associates in Family Medicine. Yvonne Myers, health-systems director of Columbine Health Systems, Cliff Buchholz, owner and operator of Miramont Lifestyle Fitness, and Ashley Schwader, the Poudre School District’s wellness manager, will share the experiences and rewards of using this approach. Other panelists will include Jesse Gormley, director of corporate health and wellness for UCHealth; Kathy Major, director of UCHealth’s third-party administration division; and Rebecca Lindsey, patient-care coordinator for Associates in Family Medicine.
