Campaign aims to ease U.S. 36 congestion
LOUISVILLE – The Curb Your Frustration campaign, set up by 36 Commuting Solutions, has attracted 100 people to join its cash-incentive activities – taking the bus, carpooling or vanpooling along U.S. Highway 36 between Boulder and Denver in order to ease congestion.
36 Commuting Solutions is a nonprofit organization that seeks to enhance the mobility of commuters along the U.S. 36 corridor.
“36 Commuting Solutions is thrilled to pilot this innovative Transportation Demand Management program during the remaining year and a half of the U.S. 36 Express Lanes Project,” said Audrey DeBarros, executive director of 36 Commuting Solutions, in a media statement. “We understand the burden of traveling in a crowded corridor and we’re eager to help solo drivers give transit, carpool and vanpool a try. Making changes like this even one day a week has a great impact on traffic congestion.”
