Denver International Wine Competition slated for Broomfield
BROOMFIELD — Wines to be judged in the 12th annual Denver International Wine Competition must be received by Friday, May 27, according to event organizers Wine Country Network Inc.
The competition, the largest double-blind, professionally judged event in the Rocky Mountain region, will be held June 4-5 at the Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield.
Organizers say it is the only internationally-focused wine competition that conducts a special post-competition event showcasing its gold-medal wines. That exclusive wine and culinary pairing event, called Pairsine, Chefs Fine Food & Wine Pairing Competition, will be part of the Denver International Wine Festival, being held Nov. 3 at Denver International Airport’s new Westin Hotel.

At Pairsine, 10 acclaimed Colorado chefs will create 20 culinary pairings for 20 gold medal wines showcased at the event. This year’s festival will benefit There With Care, an organization providing fundamental support services to families and children facing critical illness during a medical crisis.
