Enliven: Drug candidate ‘has the potential to be the best-in-class’

BOULDER — Clinical-stage precision oncology company Enliven Therapeutics Inc. (Nasdaq: ELVN) was bullish in its recent earnings report on its drug candidate ELVN-001, which is set to begin a new phase of a trial on patients with chronic myeloid leukemia, or CML, in late 2026.

“Recent strategic momentum in CML validates a remaining unmet need and a compelling long-term opportunity. Against this backdrop, we remain focused on execution as we prepare to initiate the Phase 3 pivotal trial of ELVN-001 in the second half of 2026,” Enliven CEO Rick Fair  “Based on the Phase 1 data generated to date, we believe ELVN-001 has the potential to be the best-in-class ATP-competitive inhibitor in CML and that it is positioned strongly to compete across all lines of therapy.”

The Boulder company’s net loss was $23.6 million in the first quarter of 2026, down from a net loss of $28.5 million in the same period last year.

To end the most recent quarter, Enliven reported cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities totaling $452.4 million, “which is expected to provide cash runway into the first half of 2029.”

At 3:50 p.m. Friday, Enliven’s stock price was $41.06 USD, up 1.91% on the day.
