Opponents file 8,000 signatures to halt Cascadia plan

Stymied in their first attempt to get a repeal of the financing plan for the $1.1 billion Catalyst project on the November ballot, opponents of the project are trying again, submitting almost 8,000 petition signatures Thursday to overturn the City Council’s September approval of a planned-unit development for the 833-acre Cascadia and Catalyst projects.
