Best Western in Loveland sold for less than seller paid

LOVELAND — The Best Western Plus Loveland Inn, at one time known as the Coach House Resort at U.S. Highway 34 and Interstate 25, has sold for less than the previous owner paid for it 10 years ago.

Larimer County property records show that Bucephalus LLC sold the property on Feb. 1 for $7.5 million. Bucephalus bought the hotel in 2013 for $9 million.

The buyer was a company called Ouro Loveland LLC, which lists an address of 818 Scott Blvd., Santa Clara, California. That’s a residential address for Kartiki Parekh, who according to her LinkedIn profile worked most recently in the tech industry. She also worked as an executive with Rujave LLC, which does business as Quality Inn Big Sky in Kalispell, Montana.

Bucephalus — which by the way was the name of Alexander the Great’s warhorse — is based at 914 S. College Ave. in Fort Collins. Ashley Jane Sommars is listed as the registered agent of that company, according to the secretary of state.

The property is a sprawling, three-connected-building hotel. Two of the buildings are two stories and one is a single story. Built in 1972, it contains 89 rooms over 46,448 square feet, property records show.

It was known as the Coach House as late as 2000 when Coach House Resort LLC sold it to Crystal and Sapan Kapoor, who sold it in 2005 to Screaming Eagle Land Co. LLC, which sold it to Bucephalus.
