Lettuce grower shuts down operation
SILT — A large lettuce growing operation touted by state officials as the type of business that the state needs has closed. Whether it will reopen remains up in the air, according to the Grand Junction Sentinel.
The Sentinel reported that the operation has had difficulty gaining access to large grocers, despite what they say about buying local.
