LOVELAND — Teresa Covington, chief financial officer at zero-emission-vehicle provider Lightning eMotors Inc. (NYSE: ZEV), will retire in October, and the company has hired her successor to begin the transition process. 

David Agatston will take over the role Oct. 3, the company said in a news release. 

He is the founder of  Devil’s Peak Consulting and was formerly a divisional chief financial officer at Zayo Group Holdings Inc. 

“I am excited to join Lightning eMotors and to work with the team to execute the Company’s strategic plan, accelerate growth, and increase shareholder value,” Agatston said in a prepared statement. “I embrace Lightning’s vision of a zero-emission future for commercial vehicles, and I look forward to helping the Company achieve that vision.”
