Boulder’s First Bite on the menu beginning Sept. 30

BOULDER — Boulder’s 10-day dining experience meant to encourage patronage at restaurants in the county will be Sept. 30 until Oct. 9. During that time, participating restaurants will offer special menus and dinner deals to customers.

In a press statement, First Bite, the dining promotional program, wrote that menus are now live. The event is the 17th in an annual campaign; 30 restaurants in Boulder County are part of the program.

This year, the program includes breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner menus. Restaurants represented include multiple styles, from fine dining to the corner pub.

Exploring & expressing grief

Support groups and events, as well as creative therapies and professional counseling, are all ways in which Pathways supports individuals dealing with grief and loss.

“Boulder is chock-full of incredible places to dine no matter the occasion or time of day, and we’re eager to elevate them in the community,” Jessica Benjamin, owner, and producer of First Bite, said in a written statement.

For the past three years, First Bite has been encouraging restaurants to offer whichever creative menu they desire, abandoning the traditional constraints of a prix fixe menu, where multiple courses are served at a total fixed price. This year chefs took charge and are cooking up specialty menus of all shapes, sizes, and prices, Benjamin said.

“We have restaurants offering a single appetizer, chef’s selection flight, family style meals for four, and multi-course menus — all sure to satisfy your cravings,” she said.
