Terracon provides $10K grant to CSU mentoring program

FORT COLLINS — Colorado State University’s ENPower Bridge and Peer Mentoring Program will benefit from a $10,000 grant provided by the Terracon Foundation.

“Terracon’s Fort Collins and Northern Colorado offices have a long-standing relationship with Colorado State University,” Ellie Gerber, marketing specialist in Terracon’s Rocky Mountain Division, said in a written statement. “Over the past two years the Terracon Foundation has offered support that has enabled CSU to keep its ENPower Bridge and Peer Mentoring Program running through the pandemic. The vital program develops and leads underrepresented and first-generation students through the many challenges they face in their first years of college.”

According to the company, the Terracon Foundation “encourages employees to submit grant requests each year for organizations focused on education as well as the built and natural environment. To date, the Terracon Foundation has granted more than $3.7 million to community organizations, universities, dependents of employees, and disaster relief efforts.”

Solar Operations and Maintenance for Commercial Properties

One key qualification to consider when selecting a solar partner to install your system is whether they have an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) or service department. Since solar is a long-term asset with an expected lifecycle of 30 plus years, ongoing O&M should be considered up front. A trusted O&M partner will maximize your system’s energy output and therefor the return on your investment.
