BBB opens nominations for 2023 Torch Awards

WINDSOR — The Better Business Bureau of Northern Colorado and Wyoming has opened nominations for the 2023 BBB Torch Awards for Ethics. 

The awards will be issued April 27, 2023, at the Embassy Suites in Loveland. 

Torch Awards have been given out for 25 years, and the BBB chapter in the region has been operating for 40 years.

According to information from the BBB, members of the public, community leaders, businesses and nonprofits can nominate ethical organizations in Northern Colorado and Wyoming for the award. To be eligible, an organization must:

  • Be in business for at least three years.
  • Be in good standing with BBB.
  • Be free from government action.
  • If a nonprofit organization, be accredited through BBB’s free Charity Review process.

Nominated businesses and nonprofits will be invited to complete a short questionnaire about the nature of the business or nonprofit as well as basic questions about the ethical foundations of the organization.

Each nominee will be first vetted, then those that pass this step will be reviewed by a Torch nominee selection committee. Finally, candidates selected will prepare the full application for the 2023 Torch Awards for Ethics.Nominations are open through 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 15. The nomination form is here.
