Innosphere officially launches second fund

FORT COLLINS — Innosphere Ventures has launched its second investment fund, a press release said.

It raised $5.6 million for “the first closing of our second fund” general partner Michael Freeman told BizWest in early September. It wants to raise up to $40 million this time around; its first fund raised $6 million all-in.

Four investments from the new fund were in process at the time, including Heads Up Health.

Freeman said in a press release Tuesday that $3 billion had been invested in Colorado through the first half of the year, with 95% coming from out of state. This creates investor opportunities, he said.

“By helping advance new technologies into startup ventures, we’re improving capital access and the overall economic health in our region,” he said.
