Oil company ordered to shut down 87 well sites

A Denver-based oil company has been ordered to close 87 of its well sites and clean up multiple spills throughout its operation in Weld and Adams counties.

The Colorado Sun reported that K.P. Kauffman Co. Inc. is the subject of the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission order due to multiple incidents that have been unresolved.
