Baseball, softball academy to take over NorCo Volleyball Club’s Windsor building

WINDSOR — A national youth baseball and softball training program is planning to open a new location in Windsor late next year in the former home of NorCo Volleyball Club.

D-BAT Academy, which runs multiple training facilities across the country and one in Colorado Springs, will open the location at 7395 Greendale Road in Windsor in September 2021, according to a statement from franchisee Ken Salazar.

D-Bat will outfit the 21,000-square-foot space with pitching machines, pitching lanes and 21,000 square feet of indoor turf capable of accommodating year-round practices. The remaining 9,000 square feet of the building will be leased out to a yet-to-be-named youth training center.
