LONGMONT — The Longmont EforAll Pitch Contest has begun accepting applications.

EforAll is a reference to Entrepreneurship for All, a nonprofit organization that helps support entrepreneurs in getting businesses off the ground. The Longmont organization’s All Ideas Pitch Contest will be Oct. 8 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and held virtually via Zoom. 

The contest is open to people who are in the business idea stage, people who are looking to take a hobby to the next level, or those looking to pivot and grow an existing business. Deadline for entry is Sept. 21. 

Participants will pitch their business ideas in a 2.5 minute presentation and answer questions from a panel of judges. The event is free for entrepreneurs and for people to attend.

“Our pitch contests are a great way to test your idea, get feedback on your business, and potentially win a cash prize. It’s never been more important to support small businesses, and we are excited to provide a platform for entrepreneurs to receive support and enable the Boulder County community to come together and support each other” Harris Rollinger, EforAll Longmont executive director, said in a press release.

Prizes for the winners are $1,000 for the grand prize winner, $750 for second place, $500 for third place, $500 for the fan favorite (audience votes via text messaging).
