Broomfield Chamber taps new chairman, welcomes Polis
BOULDER — Patterson and Co. LLC broker and principal Seth Patterson was announced as the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce’s new board chairman at an event Wednesday that brought together local business leaders and government officials including Gov. Jared Polis.
Patterson, who takes over the 17-member chamber board’s leadership position from Millennial Wealth Management LLC’s Grayson Hofferber, said he is inheriting an organization that’s fundamentally sound and doesn’t anticipate instituting any major changes in the near-term.
“We’re going to continue to emphasize growth and financial stability,” he told BizWest after the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce’s annual member meeting held at the Copper Leaf Events Center. “We’re really just looking to expand on our programs and services for the business community.”

In past years the chamber has faced challenges related to dwindling financial resources and membership, but the group is on solid footing now, Patterson said.
“We’ve made a lot of progress turning the ship around,” he said. “We’re financially stable and growing again.”
Broomfield Chamber of Commerce CEO Sam Taylor agreed, telling the crowd of several hundred on hand that “last year was actually a good year. Unlike the year before, when we started out in very tough circumstances, the past year started well and got better.”
Membership eclipsed the 400 mark during 2019, he said. “This was the first time in a decade when the chamber has gained members for two years in a row.”
Polis congratulated the chamber and its new board leadership and spoke briefly about issues of importance to the local business community such as health insurance costs, transportation infrastructure, oil and gas regulations and the minimum wage.
