WESTMINSTER — Coet 2 CPAs PC, a Westminster-based accounting and tax preparation firm, has merged with regionally accounting player Atlas CPAs and Advisors PLLC.
Coet 2 owner Fran Coet and partner Cathie Asmus have taken undisclosed equity positions with Atlas and will remain with the firm.
How a business manages its inventory can have a tremendous impact on the financial health of the company. Managed properly, inventory can be a great source of increased margins, higher revenue, or a combination of the two.
“Our firm has grown over the years along with the client base, and this merger with Atlas is the next logical step,” Coet said in a prepared statement. “It’s also no secret that our loss eight months ago of John Coet left a significant void in our offices. We have searched for feasible ways to replace him and compensate for all the skills that he brought to this firm every day. It hasn’t been easy. Frankly, it might not be possible. But this merger with ATLAS gets us close enough that we know clients will be immensely satisfied.”
John Coet, Fran Coet’s husband, died in March at the age of 74, according to obituaries.
Atlas operates local accounting offices in Lafayette and Brighton, along with other locations in Colorado, Arizona, Iowa and Illinois.
