In a few days, the state will once again observe Colorado Gives Day, this year on Dec. 10. On that day, charitable givers are encouraged to find a deserving nonprofit organization and designate a gift.
The day has become so important that many nonprofits depend upon the largesse of the philanthropic minded to operate for the coming year.
How a business manages its inventory can have a tremendous impact on the financial health of the company. Managed properly, inventory can be a great source of increased margins, higher revenue, or a combination of the two.
In that spirit, BizWest has made available its 2020 Giving Guide, a magazine dedicated to nonprofit organizations. The magazine, which can be found here, includes:
- A story about the newly launched Hach Center for Regional Engagement, a new division of the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado. The center will be the catalyst for channeling efforts at creating the future that the Northern Colorado region wants to have occur.
- A story about the sometimes mysterious benefit that many companies make available to match the contributions of their employees. The benefit permits workers to extend the value of their gifts, if they know the benefit is available.
- A report about the merger of the Mile High United Way (Denver metro area) and Foothills United Way (Boulder/Broomfield area). The merger reduces overhead and provides more resources to both organizations.
In addition, the Giving Guide includes a directory of all the nonprofit organizations — names, addresses, phone numbers and services — in the Boulder Valley and Northern Colorado. Is your organization missing or need to be updated? Let us know at email@example.com
