Altitude Sports sues Comcast over blackout for Denver teams
DENVER — The local carrier for Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets games is suing Comcast Inc. (Nasdaq: CMCSA) after months of deadlocked broadcast rights negotiations.
The Denver Post reports Altitude Sports is accusing the internet and TV giant of using its near-monopoly power to stifle it and regional distributors in providing local game coverage. The blackout only affects DISH Network Corp. (Nasdaq: DISH) and Comcast customers.
