Two lawsuits emerge to stop PDC, SRC Energy merger

DENVER and WELD COUNTY — Two Colorado investors are suing to stop a $1.7 billion tie-up between Denver-based oil companies PDC Energy Inc. (Nasdaq: PDCE) and SRC Energy Inc. (NYSE AMERICAN: SRCI), a deal that if closed would create Weld County’s second-largest oil and gas operator.

In two separate suits filed in the U.S. District Court of Colorado, Michael Ben-Yosef and Michael Waynick both allege that the two oil companies didn’t file enough information to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission
