Uplight granted B Corp. status
BOULDER — Uplight Inc.,an energy technology firm formed by the merger of Tendril Inc. and Simple Energy Inc., is now a certified B Corporation, according to a Wednesday announcement from the company.
B Corporations are for-profit entities that have committed to upholding standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.
“We are excited to have Uplight, now one of the largest B Corp software companies, pledge to meet the highest environmental and social standards, while also making it easy for utilities to motivate their customers into taking the important energy saving actions that are now so urgently needed,” B Lab business development manager Andy Fyfe said in a prepared statement. “Uplight is proving that companies really can use business as a force for good.”
