Election 2019: Stolzmann leads Louisville mayoral race

LOUISVILLE — Louisville City Councilwoman Ashley Stolzmann has a lead over Don Brown to succeed Louisville Mayor Bob Muckle, who is term limited

Stolzmann, who represented the city’s Ward 3, had 59.56 percent of the vote as of 1:20 p.m., when 100,250 of the anticipated 104,000 Boulder County votes had been counted. Brown’s supporters accounted for 40.44 percent of the vote.

Stolzmann has served on the city council since 2013 and Brown was a council member from 2000 to 2008.

Incumbent councilman Dennis Maloney is running unopposed and will retain his Ward 3 seat.

In Ward 1, Louisville Historic Preservation Commission member Caleb Dickinson has secured 47.11 percent of the vote, putting him ahead of Barbara Butterworth and Gordon Madonna.

Deb Fahey, who was served on the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission and the Boulder County Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council, was leading in Ward 2 with 56.57 percent of the vote. She is competing for the position with Sherry Sommer.
