Lodging report: September a big month for Estes Park hotels

Compared with other parts of Northern Colorado and the Boulder Valley, Estes Park hotels were the fullest and priciest in September, according to the most recent Rocky Mountain Lodging Report by the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association.

In Estes Park, the average daily rate for rooms during the month was $206.77, and the occupancy rate was 83.9 percent.

Greeley posted a monthly occupancy rate of 81.5 percent and an average daily rate of $111.11.

Along U.S. 36, hotel rooms were 80.9 percent full in September, and rooms were priced at an average of $134.19 night.

Boulder’s occupancy was 80.8 percent. The city’s $190.57 average per night price made Boulder hotels the second most expensive in the region.

Loveland’s occupancy rate in September was 78.5 percent, and the average price for hotel rooms was $130.28 per night.

In Fort Collins, the September occupancy rate was 74.8 percent, and the average price for a room was $130.66.

Longmont recorded an occupancy rate of 70.9 percent and average nightly rates of $123.50.

The statewide average hotel occupancy was 81.5 percent in August. Average prices were $157.91. Across the board, prices and occupancy rates dipped from August to September.
