New Ball aluminum cup plant coming to Georgia
BROOMFIELD — Ball Corp. (NYSE: BLL) is building its first manufacturing plant dedicated to the production of aluminum cups in Rome, Georgia, adjacent to an existing Ball beverage can plant.
The company debuted the new recyclable cup product in September at a University of Colorado football game in Boulder.
Ball will invest $200 million in the Rome plant, which is expected to add about 145 new employees, according to a company news release.
