The companies on Friday filed a notice with the state under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, announcing the closure of the division at 10405 E. 49th Ave.

Nestle in May announced plans to withdraw from direct-store delivery for its ice cream and frozen-pizza businesses, prompting closure of eight frozen distribution centers.

“The entire facility will be closed, and all employees at the facility will be impacted,” the letter continued. “This closure is expected to be permanent.”

Nestle said the first round of layoffs will occur Oct. 18, with the separations continuing through Dec. 31, 2019.
